Transportation is among the more vital economic activities for a business or any other form activity. From moving goods from locations where they are sourced to locations where they are demanded, transportation provides the essential service of linking a company to its suppliers and customers. Transport is equally importance for passenger travelling and making them reach out their desired destination. It is an essential activity in the logistics function, supporting the economic utilities of place and time.
This Programme reflects the growing importance of transport and logistics management within the world of business. A career in transport and logistics could mean working with a specialist provider of logistics and distribution services, a train operator, a bus or Coach Company, a consultancy or possibly the armed forces. The Programme also covers operational and economic aspects of passenger transport. Transport and logistics managers aim to provide the means of getting goods to flow through the supply chain. Other equally important tasks are carried out by logistics analysts, customer services managers and purchasing managers. This Programme also provides opportunities for those wishing to follow careers in transport management and tourism. Our College started this programme in 2014.
